INVENTION PATENT
Products, or industrial procedures can be protected through this way. Exclusivity is granted for 20 years. There are alternatives such as PCT to increase the times to protect the patent in other world markets.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNS
This way the physical appearance of a product is protected. Industrial designs can often become three-dimensional marks over time. Industrial design only has 10 years of protection.
